Alexis Dite

Alexis Dite was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2008, having previously obtained a PhD in mathematics from Edinburgh University and a first-class masters and undergraduate degree from Oxford University.

Alexis is a door tenant of Red Lion Chambers, one of the UK’s leading sets of chambers specialising in crime and regulatory law. Prior to joining Stephen Platt & Associates he was a full tenant at Red Lion Chambers where he was instructed in a range of criminal and regulatory matters, both for the prosecution and defence. For example, Alexis received instructions from both the Serious Fraud Office and the Treasury Solicitor’s Department to assist with the judicial review proceedings that followed the SFO investigation into the collapse of the Kaupthing banking group.

Alexis was engaged on multiple assignments with the Financial Services Authority (as it then was): he assisted with disclosure both in a complex insider dealing prosecution and also in a civil enforcement action brought by the FSA in the Chancery Division of the High Court. He was also instructed by the FSA as ‘independent counsel’ to review material potentially subject to legal professional privilege.
